Meet The Practitioners
Alexis Robb, LMT, CPT, BS
Alexis grew up in Lakewood, Colorado, thriving on trail running, snowboarding, wakeboarding, yoga and creating art of all kinds. At age 17, a severe knee injury during a wakeboarding competition put a pause on all physical activity, shattering her best outlet into processing the stress of navigating young adulthood through movement and exercise. This heartbreaking injury altered the course of her evolution, steering her to embark on a lifelong journey to answer the question of how we can heal the body so that the soul can do what it loves most.
With dreams of becoming a Physical Therapist, she earned her ACSM Personal Training Certification in 2016, and her B.S. in Health and Exercise Science from Regis University in 2017. Meanwhile she began her career in Personal Training and Group Fitness focused on functional movement, injury prehab and rehab, pain management, building strength safely, mobility, and FUN! Immediately craving a more profound understanding of the body and advancement in her ability to facilitate healing, she earned her 720 hour Massage Therapy Certification from Colorado School of Healing Arts (2018) where her sensitive and innately “magic” hands quickly remembered (from lifetimes of doing this work) how to listen, intuit, and provide.
Alexis subsequently founded The Wilderness Within, her private practice in bodywork and fitness, where she osteopathically seeks to bring the health out of the system so it can flourish, rather than allopathically only focusing on the dysfunction. She incorporates many aspects of wellness in her approach. From addressing pain hands-on to using movement as medicine, from fueling the body from the earth to examining the spiritual roots of our habits, Alexis lives for guiding her clients into deeper connection to the wilderness that lives within, their body, their heart, Source, and all that is. Her future holds endless rabbit holes of interest, including osteopathy, chiropractic, herbalism, wholistic nutrition, teaching, and nature therapy programs for youth.
When she’s not working, Alexis can be found playing in her garden, busting ass in the gym, adventuring on the trail either running or backpacking, cooking something delish (mostly vegan and paleo), spinning a fire hoop or dragon staff, dancing with her beloved at a String Cheese Incident show wearing a magical costume she stitched up herself, creating who knows what, leading a weekly women’s circle, snuggling her two cats (Oliver and Miyagi, “The Monkey”), feeling the depths of her double Pisces heart, or daydreaming about the future that she and her fiancé Nathan are building.

Nathan Buss, MHRIR, BS
Touch has always been one of Nathan’s primary love languages. From discovering a passion and talent for massage as a child, to sharing tens of thousands of free hugs on street corners and at music festivals, hosting group cuddling events, and contact improv ecstatic dancing, he has used his strong yet gentle hands to receive, nurture, and transform for decades.
Nathan moved out to Colorado after finishing graduate school at the University of Illinois in 2008. Shortly thereafter, he began developing and refining his unique hands-on healing modality that focuses on the emotional body and nervous system. This practice took the next step while working with mentor Dr. David Zarou, DO and the all-star team of talented physicians and alternative healers at Osteopathic Integrative Medicine.
Now Nathan and his wife Alexis own and operate The Wilderness Within and ApotheCorvus, offering an array of products and services aimed at promoting holistic health and wellness. They utilize life coaching, personal training, bodywork, energy work, ritual ceremony, and an apothecary full of potent plant, stone, and animal medicine to help their clients achieve their desired personal evolution.
Nathan’s spiritual path has taken him all over the world, experiencing and learning shamanic teachings from many different indigenous traditions. He has performed individual and collective healing rituals across a global network of sacred sites including Sedona, Mount Shasta, Kaua’i, Chichén Itzá, Sacsayhuamán, Tiwanaku, Straight of Gibralter, Te Reinga Wairua, and Uluru.
Nathan has led ritual ceremony and guided shamanic journeys for nearly 15 years, gathering soulful community around aligned intention and purposeful action. He has taught classes (Karma Yoga, Sol Shine, StarHouse), given talks (Union Station), and guest lectured (CU Boulder), as well as organized and hosted a multitude of private events and fundraisers, created crystal grids for businesses, and officiated weddings.
Nathan is an adoring father and devoted husband who is also passionate about writing and performing poetry and music (percussion, ukulele, vocals), dancing (especially with Alexis), cocreating art in a wide variety of visual media, playing like a child in nature, teaching crystal magic and building energetic tools, and sharing food with friends.
